An U13 Boys selection from Cumann Cispheile Mhaigh Cuilinn travelled over the last weekend in May to Ardres in Northern France for the 39th Henri-Seux international basketball tournament. Our club has had a long association with the tournament since 1999, but this was the first one since Covid.
The first day the lads had two losses, one against Team Fikeo from Paris who won the tournament out. On day two the team had a very competitive day, with one win and one loss by the narrowest one point margin. Overall we had a 1-4 record and came 7th in the team three point competition.
The tournament has allowed us to raise the bar and push these players on in their development. The full report from the tournament is available here.
Well done to all the coaches, managers and parents with this group who pulled the trip together as it is never easy but I’m sure the boys themselves would agree, always worth it.
