A proud participant since the 1960s, Moycullen are looking forward to another competitive season in the local Galway League.
A squad boasting a number of returning veterans alongside a healthy scattering of new additions has the team aiming for a top three finish and strong run at the Galway Cup.
Ambitions are high for the Galway League Men’s Team this season
The team are coached this year by our Superleague professional American player Grant Olsson who has already had a real impact on the guys and brings great knowledge and fresh ideas to the group.
The season comes after what has been a long lay off from competitive action due to the various Covid19 restrictions. When matters abruptly halted in March 2020, Moycullen were in second position in the League with games in hand and a real shot at silverware. They had also been looking forward to the Cup final which they had qualified for.
The Galway League has been the bedrock of the Senior Men’s section since the 1960s and provides a great outlet for players at a local level.
Our Men’s Galway League team has seen a strong resurgence in recent years as a number of former players returned to the Parish and spearheaded another outlet for our members other than the demands of being involved with the Superleague team.
