Well done to our youngest club members, the Rógairí Óga group who have just finished off their first-ever season with a great final session in Killannin Community Centre.

Special Guest Shooter presented the boys and girls with their medals & party bags, which were presented on the day by some of the stars of our U16 Girls team- Kayla, Lily, Róisín, Sophia & Tara.

A huge thanks to all the parents for bringing their children every second Sunday to training. It was the first time the club have coached this young age group. Huge thanks to Head Coaches Sinéad Monaghan & Dara Canavan. Team manager Deirdre de Souza and all the coaching team of Adrian Mulligan, Glenn Hynes, Loretta Ní Ghabháin, Maeve Mitchell & Rachel Houlihan. Thanks also to Maeve’s niece Aoibhin.

Some of Moycullen Basketball Clubs stars of the future finished up for the 2021/2022 season when our U8 group held their final session Sunday 3 April in Killannin Community Centre.

The gang started off the season within Covid enforced pods where they did not get to play many games but even still, their coaches Noelle Steele, Conor Feeney, Maurice Ferguson, and Brenda Leyden could really notice the progress they were making. That was on evidence for all to see when the players put together a wonderful set of games to finish off 2021/2022 Sunday, with a few gallant tryers even attempting a three-pointer or two!

Everyone is looking forward to the big step up to the size 5 basketball next year and the next step on their basketball journeys!

Next Sunday, our U7 Rógairí Óga group holds their final session of the season.
